I first spoke to Dr Sterry in around November of 2012. I was born with a condition called gastrochisis & had been looking for a surgeon in Australia for the past four years or so. I had two operations in Australia previously but my condition was never fully corrected. Dr.Sterry was the only doctor who was willing to perform the operation that would make me feel so much better about myself, and what a great job he did! I have absolutely no regrets in travelling to see Dr.Sterry, my results are amazing, a complete transformation - my friends & family cannot believe I ever had anything wrong with me. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Dr.Sterry for any procedure, he is very knowledgeable & experienced.
What a Great Result! - Manhattan, NY I was born with a condition called Gastrochisis where I had no navel & some scarring. I am a 21 year old female from Aus & finding a surgeon who would operate on me was a absolute nightmare. Through doing my own research, I was aware the only procedure to fully correct my condition was a Tummy Tuck. I am a very young patient for this procedure, but I felt so upset with the way my stomach looked, I had no self confidence. I would see surgeon after surgeon in Aus & every single one knocked me back saying that my stomach "would never be better then it is & I could not remove the scarring" - I wrote on a "reputable" surgeons facebook page about my condition & asked if he could help & had people liking what I wrote & laughing, calling me a alien. This surgeon then commented on other comments on the same day I wrote me so I assume he was just ignoring mine, But I was use to this treatment. Also being told that I was "completely normal" & need help. I knew I was better off then a lot of other things I have seen on people's body but that was irrelevant, it was still very personal to me & I wanted it fixed. At this point I was very close to booking in with a Brisbane surgeon to have liposuction done to even the contour on my stomach - he wanted to put the scarring on the side of my abdomen from top to bottom about 3 slits each side. Then I thought, there has got to be another way - so I kept researching. I came accross a few surgeons in the US - Beverley Hills, New York in paticular & I spoke with about 3 surgeons - all saying they would be able to perform a tummy tuck - in the end I chose Dr. Sterry in Manhattan, New York. What a relief! throughout the process he took time on his weekends to talk to me on Skype as he was quite busy during the week & with the time difference it made it a bit more difficult to communicate. I told him my situation & what I wanted to have done & he did suggest just doing a local procedure on my belly button area, but in the end came to the decision the the only thing that would make me happy would be a Tummy Tuck (I also decided in the end to also get a BA) So about 4 months later I was on a plane from Australia - New York & within a few days into the operating room. The next day when I had a peek at my results I could not believe what an amazing job he had done! A far better result then what I expected. I LOVE my first & new belly button - my friends have commented you can not tell I have ever had something wrong with me - a complete transformation! The scar placement is phenominal - I have seen a lot of bad scarring from Tummy Tucks (sitting way to high etc) My breast augmentation is excellent - a lot of girlfriends I have shown have commented if they did not know I had had BA they would not be able to tell my boobs are fake - They look so natural & he has managed to correct the Asymmetry I had prior to the procedure. Throughout the healing process (which im still going through) Poor Dr.Sterry had to make himself available on weekends & very late at night when I had some questions about my drain. I am so glad I made the decision to travel for my surgery - Dr.Sterry has changed the way I feel about myself & I am ever so grateful. I am only 4 weeks post op but will keep you posted with photos once I can get a hold of some 🙂 Photos are up! Just an update on my progress... 3 months post op and still amazed by the transformation! Dr. Sterry is not only an amazing Plastic Surgeon, he is an Artist. The moment I walked into his office for my consultation, I knew I was in great hands. He was very honest and open when answering my questions. He took the time to explain the procedure, recovery time and anything else I needed to know. It's been 1 week since my chin smartlipo procedure and so far, I love my results and hope it only gets better with time. Thank you Dr. Sterry for giving me my confidence back. And yes, I feel pretty again. I would recommend Dr. Sterry in a heartbeat. I already have.
21 Year Old J to D cup!! My breast reduction procedure is only a few days away and I am beyond excited! I am currently a J cup (when I actually thought I was a G) and I cannot wait to go down to a ittie bittie C cup. I am absolutely TIRED of feeling self conscious about my breast. I am ready to get rid of the pain of wearing bikinis that strain my neck, and the limitations of wearing backless tops and dresses! My doctor recommended that I do the traditional procedure (the inverted "T" scape) but I guess I'm fine with that as long as the outcome looks good. What I am most nervous about however is the scarring, and the discomfort during sleep... how many pillows will I need to be comfortable?? I'm scared to see what my breast will look like with the fresh scars, do you guys recommend any scar removal creams or gels to maximize the healing process?? I will definitely upload some pictures for you guys and keep you posted because I think this forum is an amazing outlet for support and receive great advice about the procedure. OMG MY PROCEDURE IS TOMORROW!! I am feeling so many different emotions right now, I'm nervous, excited, worried, and scared and excited again lol. I just hope everything goes well. I have all my prescriptions ready and I'm basically counting down the hours. Wish me luck!!!! I must say I am beyond impressed by Dr. Sterry's work. For just 3 days after surgery my breast look really good! NO DRAINS!!!! I was excited about that the most. I actually think I might be a small D cup once all the swelling goes down but that is perfectly fine, my breasts are perky and I feel sensation in both nipples. Thank goodness for these painkillers because these zingers are no joke! It's a constant burning, prickly feeling under the scars which are good signs of healing but are terribly annoying. I was able to shower yesterday (yes 2 days after surgery)!! I was scared to see the scars but to my surprise they looked very tight and neat and it is clear he took his time with me. The only thing though is that I cannot do the #2 in the toilet, it's like it just wouldn't come out. I barely ate for the first 2 days so maybe that's whats causing the hold up but hopefully I do it soon, I feel so heavy! Not to mention my period just came last night.. great. Once I'm able to be mobile I will indeed be doing some squats because my poor bottom is taking all the pressure from laying on my back for so long. My scars are healing really well, my doctor usually gives me BioCornium (spelling might be off) to help minimize the scars but it only lasts about a month so its about time for me to reload on it. Besides that I think my swelling is completely gone, I can wear any bra I want, and life is just so much easier not having to worry about your bulging breasts! Love him! Love him! What more can I say? Dr. Sterry has transformed not only my appearance with a face,brow and neck lift, but my self confidence has soared as well. His warm demeanor makes it easy to speak to him on a one to one basis, and not just to a "white coat ". I have a new sense of being.

Allow me to preface my Comments by saying that it has been less than 24 hours since my procedure. Again, LESS THAN 24 HOURS since my procedure and I am on my computer sharing my experience with all of you. I feel that alone is a testament of Dr. Sterry's abilities as one of the best in his field. Yesterday ... my procedure ... supposedly one of, if not the most painful of cosmetic procedures. Kindly note that I have NEVER had ANY form of liposuction EVER. Despite my anxiety and nervousness, Dr. Sterry's bedside manner was calming and refreshing. It's been LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! Dr. Sterry performed a flawless procedure. I have minimal bruising, little discomfort, no real pain and acute soreness. This was due entirely to Dr. Sterry's skill. He is personally vested in each and every one of his patients (as is everyone in his office). Dr. Sterry, thank you! I will be seeing you again real soon.
I had a complete body lift w/dr. Sterry after extensive weight loss (160 lbs). Sterry is a sculptor! He restored my body to what it probably would have been like had I not feed it endlessly for over 25 years. He was kind, compassionate and caring. His practice is small enough to afford you individual attention that should be provided given the scope of the type of service her provides.
Dr. Sterry is the very essence of professional. The moment you meet him you understand that you are in very good hands and you will be well taken care of. Beyond having a fabulous bedside manner, he is first and foremost and excellent surgeon. He never goes too far or too extreme. He seeks to always give you a result that enhances your natural features. I have had several procedures in addition to fillers and laser treatments. I am thrilled with the results! No one can tell I've had any work done!! His staff is well trained and professional. Everyone seeks to ensure you have an excellent experience.
