Mini Tummy Tuck

This 32-year-old woman was 5 feet 2 inches tall and 119 pounds. She came in asking for liposuction and was hoping it would flatten out her lower tummy. As we talked, we came to understand that she also hated her C-section scar and wanted to have it revised. I offered her a mini tummy tuck along with her liposuction at our practice in NYC, and in one operation we were able to accomplish her goals.

A mini tummy tuck differs from a full abdominoplasty in that the scar is shorter and the muscles are tightened only up to the area of the belly button. This leads to less discomfort and a faster recovery time. For the right patient, it can be a "home run" operation.
