Tummy Scar Removal

This is a 45 year old woman who had a tummy scar since her childhood after exploratory surgery that turned out to be appendicitis.  She had moved on with her life and had accepted her scar as just a part of who she is...Until one day she came to me for other reasons.  We had some nice results and had gotten to know each other for a while before I finally suggested we remove the scar.  She agreed and her results are shown above.  Note that we not only removed her scar, but I was able to center her belly button and make it look a bit more natural.
Interestingly, she told me recently that she didn't realize how much that scar had affected her emotionally throughout her life.  She now thinks there were many times that she allowed that old scar to hold her back from doing things or taking chances that she would have loved to - if she didn't have the insecurities that the darn scar caused her.
