Thigh Lift
Before & After
Case Details
This is a 62-year-old woman who was simply frustrated with the look of her thighs and wanted to be able to wear a bathing suit again (apparently she refused for the last several years). We talked about various techniques and finally decided to perform an inner thigh lift using a bikini line incision that gets carried between the legs to the buttock crease. My New York City patients tolerate this procedure very well.
There are several techniques for thigh lifting using a few different incision patterns, but I like this one the best and do it whenever possible. Frankly, the scars are all hidden and I find it works nicely for the vast majority of my patients. Liposuction is incorporated to assist with both the contouring and to debulk the thighs, thereby allowing more lift from the procedure. The operation takes about 4 hours, and I haven't used a drain since 2003.
Recovery times can vary, but most people are back to work in about 2 weeks. Patients tell me that the toughest part is sitting. They don't mind lying down and can stand without discomfort, but sitting down puts strain on the inner thighs and they really don't like it. This makes simple things like using the bathroom challenging.
