Breast Reduction With Lift
Before & After
Case Details
This is a 48-year-old woman who complained that her breasts were too heavy and hung too low. She didn't really qualify for a major breast reduction, but she did want to be more perky and to not necessarily need to wear a bra in order to be comfortable. She had not given birth or breastfed, which may account for the fairly high level of her nipples as compared to her breast tissue. She actually stated that she liked her breasts overall but just wanted them to be a little lifted and smaller.
I decided to perform a "lollipop" breast reduction and lift (vertical mastopexy) for her in New York City. In doing so, just about 250 grams of tissue was removed from each breast. The nipple position was raised a bit, but not dramatically so. What we tried to achieve was a more narrow breast that did not hang as low.
