Breast Reduction
Before & After
Case Details
This is a young woman who came in asking for a breast reduction at my New York practice because of neck, back, and shoulder pain. Furthermore, she is a professional actress and dancer who thought her breasts made her look heavy and less athletic. She wondered if her large breasts might also be preventing her from getting various jobs because she didn't "look the part."
I performed a Wise pattern breast reduction for her and removed about 600 grams of tissue per side (that's a little over a pound per breast). The Wise pattern is also known as the anchor scar method. As you can see, the lower incisions are really not visible because the breasts cover them nicely. This is a classic technique that all plastic surgeons learn in their training.
