Eyelid Surgery

This is a 62-year-old woman who asked me to prepare her for her son's wedding. We performed a variety of non-invasive treatments and fillers, but there was just no getting around the fact that her eyes gave away her age. We decided to go ahead with cosmetic eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, in NYC.

In this case both the upper and lower eyelids needed attention.  For the uppers I removed skin and some small amount of fat from the portion of the eye near the nose.  The scar is nicely hidden up inside the lid crease.

For the lower eyelids, the incision is made just under the lashes. It heals so well that it is virtually impossible to find in most patients. Both fat and skin were removed from this area, and the skin was tightened just enough to eliminate the crepe-like consistency.
