Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)
Before & After
Case Details
This is a 36-year-old woman who complained about a dorsal hump and said that she had always wanted a straighter nose. We also spoke about some modest work on her tip that would make it look more refined, but not necessarily like it had undergone surgery. She was very cognizant of not wanting to look like a different person.
For this case, I chose to perform an open rhinoplasty (nose surgery) in New York City. That means a small incision is made across the bottom of the nose in order to gain access and expose the architecture below. The dorsal hump was removed and some suturing techniques were used to give her a more feminine tip. A chin implant was discussed, but the patient was not ready to have that procedure performed.
Patient Age:
36
Rhinoplasty Technique:
Open
Recovery Time:
Back to work in 10 days
Note: Swelling takes about a year to subside after rhinoplasty.
